These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and SSB Media (“we,” “us,” “our”) governing your use of the wherebae mobile application and related services (the “App”). They also serve as the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the App. By downloading, accessing, or using wherebae, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher, to enter into a paid subscription) and capable of forming a binding contract to use wherebae. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. The service
wherebae is a private, two-person location-sharing app designed for couples. It lets you pair with one other person and share your real-time location, battery level, place-based arrival/departure alerts, and short status updates with them. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Consent and responsible use
wherebae shares your real-time location with another person. You may only use the App to share your own location, on a device you own or control, and only with a partner who has knowingly and voluntarily agreed to pair with you.
You agree that you will not use wherebae to track, monitor, stalk, harass, or harm any person without their knowledge and ongoing consent, or to install or use the App on a device belonging to someone else without their permission. Pairing is mutual: either partner can pause sharing or unpair at any time. Misusing the App to surveil someone without consent may be illegal and is a serious violation of these Terms.
4. Your account
You sign in with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Apple ID used to access the App and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the App, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. wherebae+ subscriptions
wherebae is free to download and use with core features. Some features are offered through an optional auto-renewing subscription, wherebae+, sold as an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store.
- Billing. The price and billing period are shown in the App at the point of purchase (for example, a monthly plan). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your Apple ID Settings → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s refund policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly; please contact Apple Support for billing and refund requests.
- Price changes. We may change subscription pricing; changes apply to future billing periods and, where required, will be communicated to you in advance with the choice to accept the new price.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law; (b) use the App to violate another person’s privacy or rights; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law; (d) interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, our servers, or other users’ accounts; (e) use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the service; or (f) misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.
7. Location accuracy & no emergency use
wherebae is not a safety, security, or emergency service. Location data depends on your device, GPS, network connectivity, and operating-system permissions, and may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Do not rely on the App in any situation where inaccurate, delayed, or missing location information could lead to harm. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
8. Intellectual property & license
The App, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the “wherebae” name, is owned by SSB Media and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.
9. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services, including Apple (Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and in-app purchases), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Mapbox (map rendering). Your use of those features may be subject to the relevant third party’s terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that location information will be accurate or timely. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SSB MEDIA AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP. IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $50. These limitations apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SSB Media and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party — including any claim that you shared another person’s location without their consent.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.
14. Apple App Store — additional terms
The following terms apply because you obtained the App through the Apple App Store. You acknowledge and agree that:
- These Terms are between you and SSB Media only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App. SSB Media is solely responsible for any product support and for any warranty, to the extent one is provided.
- In the event the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) for the App; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, or claims under consumer-protection or similar laws. SSB Media, not Apple, is responsible for addressing such claims.
- If a third party claims the App infringes its intellectual property rights, SSB Media, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist-supporting,” and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence, you agree that the courts located in Gurugram, Haryana, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.
16. Changes to these Terms & how to contact us
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of wherebae after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
